“Godzilla Destroyer” by Victor Prieto

Victor Prieto has worked at the ECF Art Center San Pedro since 2012. Victor creates illustrative drawings and prints inspired by popular culture, horror movies, comics, and tattoos. “I know it isn’t real, so that’s why I am not afraid,” says Victor Prieto in regard to his collection of Horror film inspired Art work. Prieto’s fascination with the Horror film industry began at the young age of three years old. Since, he has become an aficionado of all things horror and reflects this in his drawings and works slowly to capture the grim detail to bring his viewers into these fictional realms. Working primarily in graphite, ink, and watercolor, Victor uses vivid marks, dynamic lines, patterning, and dramatic compositions to illustrate his subjects. 

Victor enjoys watching and participating in local sports, attending cultural events in and around San Pedro, as well as dining at local restaurants. Outside of the Art Center program, he enjoys watching movies and television, listening to music, and reading comics.
