Janelle Stallworth

Janelle Stallworth has been working out of ECF Art Centers Inglewood since 2023. Stallworth currently focuses on painting and drawing. For Stallworth, her inspiration for art comes from the endless freedoms and possibilities of her own creativity. Stallworth often uses pop art and abstraction as a method to explore contrast. While using bright neon colors against dark backgrounds, Stallworth regularly imposes short phrases or messages she finds humorous in her artwork. Janelle’s process begins when she finds a striking image out in the world. Through sketches and word selections, Stallworth transforms these ideas and images into her own vision.
