Larry Nichols

Larry Nichols has been working at ECF Art Centers’ since 1996 first starting in our ECF Art Center MLK studio (formerly located on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in South LA), currently in the Westside studio. Nichols works primarily in acrylic and colored pencil on paper, weaving his jovial characters and abstracted tree-like structures into visually powerful compositions, which seem to explode with color and emotion. Nichols' art is directly sourced from his own free, expressive nature, and is rendered in a style that widely appeals to collectors and art patrons. Known by his peers as "Mister Personality", Nichols actively seeks to form friendships with other artists, sharing his infectious good humor with all.
