Tiffiny Boyd

Tiffiny Boyd has worked at the ECF Art Centers since 1990 and currently works out of the San Pedro studio. Tiffiny's work is inspired by expressive qualities of color, the freedom of intuitive mark-making, and self-exploration of creative processes. Boyd draws from her infinite imagination to create effervescent and abstract and floral designs that often play with conventions of spatial orientation. Working primarily with acrylic paints on canvas, she paints with an energetic, determined hand using a variety of brushes, tools, and consistencies of paint. Her compositions culminate in layers of repetitive swirls, drips, swells and gestural marks.
