Joseph Tapia
Joseph is a strong draftsman who draws subjects that are important to him; dinosaurs, wild animals, nature, and Jesus Christ. Joseph is an ambitious artist, who does his best with every piece. Creating highly rendered pieces, and shows them off with pride. His favorite materials are colored pencils and acrylic paint.
Interview between artist Joseph Tapia and ECF Art Instructor
Art Instructor: What are you inspired by?
Joseph Tapia: Incredible, living beings. Animals are beautiful living creatures. It’s amazing that animals like dinosaurs existed before mankind.
AI: What materials are you using now?
JT: I’m using pencil. I don’t have any ideas to do in paint.
AI: Why do you like to make art?
JT: To bring my imagination to life, and to inspire people with my imagination and creativity
AI: What do you want people to feel when they look at Your Art?
JT: I want them to feel interested and amazed by my art
AI: Why do you like to draw dinosaurs and animals?
JT: I admire dinosaurs so much after growing up on Jurassic park movies. And I want people to know that I truly love whales and dolphins.
AI: So you were inspired by movies?
JT: yes.
AI: What advice would you give an aspiring artist?
JT: I would suggest studying animals and research dinosaurs, and to really look at the details and their movements and expressions. And to pay attention to the colors and shapes and light and dark areas.
AI: What are dream projects you would like to work on in the future?
JT: In the future I would love to make dioramas, and learn watercolor and oil.
AI: How does making art make you feel?
JT: Makes me feel excited and happy to make the images in my mind come to life!
