Shaunna McCray

Shaunna began working out of the South LA studio 2022. Working in many mediums, Shaunna is inspired by a wide array of subject matter such as animals, people, and fantastical characters. As a child, she began creating her own images after tiring of her coloring books, and drew inspiration from dream imagery and childhood cartoons.

Shaunna likes to create “magical art pieces that create happiness” and what she likes most about her artistic practice is that she can translate her ideas quickly into her sketchbook and carry them out through different mediums.

Shaunna composes her artwork without hesitation; if she has an idea, she jumps right into the process. She has an appreciation for the creative output of her peers, and strives to push herself to grow and improve her craft.
