Christopher Romero
Christopher Romero has been working at the ECF Art Centers’ Downtown LA studio since 2012. Romero’s work is largely influenced by his fascination with and immersion in the spheres of contemporary popular culture fandom. His body of work is rife with the subtexts and symbols of the new and popular - specifically film, music, fashion and social media. By culling inspiration and content from these various mediums, Romero’s work functions as a modality wherein he can insert his own voice into the ever changing current of contemporary culture. As such, his work reveals a desire to invert outsider positionalities, a way to re-imagine a world large enough to include infinite points of view. Outside of the studio, he is an avid film-goer and health and fitness enthusiast. He loves shopping, discovering new music, and making new friends.
