Lindsay Rogers
Lindsay Rogers’ art mixes the everyday with the spectacular and often references his long time home, the city of Inglewood. In Lindsay’s brightly layered work, religious text and iconography wrestle with the exotic animals that captivate him. These pieces often call forth a sense of the apocalyptic with seemingly cryptic messages like, “LAX EARTHQUAKE” tucked in behind rows of shark’s teeth, or simply “JESUS” drawn repeatedly across a line of T-rexes. While Rogers’ compositions swirl together sharp teeth and salvation, he’s known for his reserved friendliness in the ECF Westside art studio where he’s been an artist since 2001.
