Alshanaé Ricks

My name is Alshanaé Ricks. I’ve been an artist since I was three years old. My artworks are creative and unique. I started taking art classes in college at SMC, LA Trade Tech, and El Camino. I was doing really good with my artwork and received good grades too.

I started attending the ECF art studio in November 2023. A couple of weeks after I started here, my grandmother passed away. It wasn’t easy for me to continue with my artwork, but I know that my grandmother is watching over me and would want me to continue doing well with my art career.

My goals are to continue working here at the studio for 10 years. While I’m here I want to strive to get better at my skill. I want to have my art displayed at galleries, websites, and books. While I’m here I want to work on ceramics, more drawings, paintings and digital art. In addition to that, I want to work with fabrics and put designs on them.

I know my grandmother would be proud of me because I have not given up on my goals and accomplishments here at ECF art studio.
