Raymond McAdams
Raymond McAdams has been working out of ECF Art Centers' San Pedro studio since 2006. Raymond’s art is influenced by the Great Masters of our past through his studying art history and painting at Harbor College. While studying images, as a traditional artist, his process begins with a simple sketch transferred on canvas. Rays work can be recognized from his distinct decorated geometric shapes paired with bright colors.
“I been at Habor College and take art classes; learning paint, abstract paint and Van Gogh inspires me a lot. Now I do ceramics and go on the wheel. I made a bowl and cup and mug. I do block printmaking of animals ducks and abstracts too. I paint things and abstract shapes. I am passionate and do art because it’s fun and I feel happy. I like stories…my favorite book is Moby Dick. I am a good cook, and I like to cook chicken adobo. I am a fun person and I like see a movies too. My favorite movie is Lord of Rings and Batman too.” -Ray McAdams
