Vanessa McConnell
Vanessa McConnell uses brush strokes and mark-making to create multi-layered paintings. Through this process, McConnell develops highly textured multicolored surfaces. She works on these pieces sometimes for several months until she is satisfied with the texture and colors. McConnell started her practice at the ECF Art Centers in 1983 at the MLK studio in South LA, and now works from the ECF Art Center Westside studio located in Inglewood California.
