Reggie Martin

Reggie Martin has been working out of ECF Art Centers' South L.A. studio since 1998. Reggie’s art explores Pop trends in brand advertisements and Female fashion imagery. He creates his compositions by utilizing prints from the internet which in turn he draws from using colored markers on to gloss vellum or standard drawing paper. He will also render fanciful automobiles. Reggie draws in an observational, confident, assertive, style that gives the impression that he intentionally distorts the figures to illustrate his excellent drawing faculties. After decades of focusing on drawing Reggie has recently started working in ceramics and transforming his original sketches into sculptural masterpieces.
