Gary Kolster

Gary joined the Whittier studio in 2023. His patient and positive nature has allowed him to explore the path of self expression through painting.

“I like it here, I really do. I really like painting and I’m going to try carving and making prints. I used to do art at home but just designs with a pencil. Here, I’m trying new things…it feels like a move up, like a boost. These colors jump out at you, and people take notice at it. I really want to keep going forwards and keep my health, keep my art going. Going to big, big canvases.”
