Heidi Dong

Heidi Dong has been working out of ECF Art Centers' San Pedro studio since 2013. Heidi has a unique ability to create original renderings of imagery. She has a distinct style that has is tender with a feminine color scheme. Heidi is a perfectionist and creates images almost exactly as they appear in front of her. For most of her work Heidi uses collaged images from magazines or printed from the internet, and arranges them in a distinctly Heidi arrangement. She then uses the collage as a reference image for a larger watercolor or colored pencil work on paper. Heidi’s sense of proportion is impeccable and throughout all her renderings she works free hand creating the perfect shapes and scale.
