Alejandro Diaz

Alejandro “Alex” Diaz has been working out of ECF Art Centers' San Pedro studio since 2015. Alejandro Diaz renders pop culture figures with quick rugged sketches. His work is defined with a collection of charcoal drawings that are often extended to printmaking projects and functional ceramics ware. He’s quiet but, as Gabriel Menyhart (ECF artist and Alex’s friend) says, “He speaks his words with his art”. Alex’s artworks features animated figures from Disney films and Looney Toons created with graphite and charcoal sketches that he sometimes completes with water color. Alex loves working on his art in the studio but never misses a trip to the El Segundo Museum of Art (ESMoA) Drawing Club.
