Cyril Elvina
Cyril Elvina has been working out of ECF Art Centers' San Pedro studio since 2015. Cyril works primarily on paper while creating original mythical creatures inspired by Dinosaurs, King Kong, and Jaws. Cyril usually creates collages of these animals found in their natural environments. Each artwork is complete with a didactic explanation of the creatures which includes their environment, weaknesses, and prey. Using graphite and colored pencil, Cyril will take his time including every detail of the ecosystems; drawings could include animals feeding on prey, drinking at the watering hole, or just flying above it all. (Recently, Cyril completed a 34 x 22.5” masterpiece that took him four years.)
