Jamie Arenas
Jamie Arenas has been working out of ECF Art Centers' San Pedro studio since 2015. She uses ink, watercolor, acrylic and printmaking to create works with a common theme of organic shapes and color blending. She incorporates ideas of the body, soul and mind – expressing the way the brain works and the nature of how the world are her creative doorways inside her mind. Through her careful color choices Jamie expresses her emotions for her viewers to experience what she is feeling. Jamie believes all art is beautiful and she appreciates the care and work put into images. Jamie enjoys learning the beauty of a person’s art in relation to how one may interpret a person’s soul. She goes beyond the surface and analyzes the detailed intricacies of a person and believes art should be used for positivity, to uplift her spirit and others’.
