James Archuleta

James has been working out of the San Pedro studio since June of 2022. He has a dedicated artistic practice, and while refining his drawing skills by studying pop culture figures, he has been very receptive in branching out to new mediums. In October of 2023, James curated a horror themed gallery show in the San Pedro gallery, Project Space.

“I’ve gotten better at art since I’ve been here. I like drawing pin up girls, horror movie characters, and painting with acrylics. My new favorite thing though is making ceramics and using my hands like that. Printmaking is fun too because you see your art right away. I can’t wait to work on some big projects.”
