Saul Amaya

Saul Amaya has been translating his interest in music into paintings on canvas. The current subjects of his paintings are 1980’s music icons like Jon Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Saul draws and paints with a very stylized and precise techniques. He divides the figures and space into simple shapes and paints each shape individually. Saul loves holidays, birthdays, and dates. He uses stylized cursive writing to make work about the dates and people in his life that matter most to him. He also loves to make detailed playlists of music in both Spanish and English.
